His greatest hits, including "America," are all presented in the production, which will be performed by an stellar cast under the guidance of Tony nominee Will Swenson.

The story follows an ambitious Jewish artist from Flatbush, whose family name is actually Diamond. As he grows up, he finds his place as a performer at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village, immediately signs a record deal that comes back to bite him hard, and as years go on, he walks away from one marriage after another. "Amid all that, Diamond evolves into a globe-trotting, sequin-wearing, arena-playing star,” Broadway World shares.
According to previous reports, singer-songwriter Neil Diamond-Then will be played by Tony nominee Will Swenson, who most recently starred in the Off-Broadway revival of Assassins. Neil Diamond-Now will be played by Tony contender Mark Jacoby, Robyn Hurder as Marcia, while Linda Powell is cast as the Doctor.
The creative team comprises Highly regarded director esteemed director Michael Mayer, four-time Oscar nominee Anthony McCarten, and Critically acclaimed choreographer Steven Hoggett.
